Dog Boarding Kennels
At Killarney Kennels, we have two areas available to
board dogs.
Our main building is a U-shaped facility that consists of mainly smaller kennels surrounding an all-weather covered exercise yard. These kennels have an internal sleeping area with a steel-framed hammock bed and individual external areas. They are used for our smaller guests or those who are older and in poor health.
Larger guests are accommodated in our large dog area. Here kennels are arranged in pairs
with both single and double kennels available (applies to sleeping area). These kennels
consist of a concrete run that is fully covered with a combination of both shade cloth and roofing
tin and a besser-block sleeping area containing steel-framed hammock beds. They are placed
so that the dogs can generally see each other, as we find this makes for more settled animals who don't feel isolated.
There are also large kennels available that are quieter and more separate from the main group where we can house our
shy and
timid guests.
All our guests are exercised at least twice a day, on their own or with some new friends (supervised), in our covered yard or one of our grassy treed yards.
We feed our main meal in the late afternoon, consisting of either a range of Royal Canin dry food,
fresh beef mince, chicken casserole or dog loaf. Fussy eaters can be catered for.
Multiple meals for puppies and older dogs are
also available.
Medications are dispensed at no extra charge. Please ensure that all medications are clearly labelled with your animal's name and dosage rate.
All guests are required to provide a Current Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza and Bordetella (C5) Vaccination Certificate indicating they have been vaccinated at least 14 days prior to entry to the kennels. Current worming and flea treatments are also required.
